Exodus – A Way Out

July 1, 2018 by Tim

Exodus - A Way Out

Exodus is the story of God making a ‚way out‚ for a people who were trapped and miserable. The same compassionate God is at work today offering rescue and freedom, even where we‚ve really messed things up.

Our Bible Talks will look into the first part of the book of [biblegateway passage=”Exodus 1-14″ display=”Exodus”] (chapters 1 to 14) to see how God provided a way out and how this helps us understand who God is.  The talks will include:

  • A way out
  • Turning your back on Egypt
  • God comes down
  • Courageous faith
  • I will
  • The plagues
  • The passover
  • Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord

Sermons will be available below shortly after each talk.

Jesus – better than religion

August 20, 2017 by Tim

Most people in the world realise that we are more than just a collection of atoms; that we are spiritual beings. Many try to acknowledge this through ‘religion’ – angels, men in robes, rituals and good deeds done to earn God’s acceptance. The writer to the Hebrews though tells us that Jesus is better than religion. He is all that we need.

In this series of Kallangur Bible Talks we will consider:

  • Jesus – the message of God
  • Jesus – better than angels
  • Jesus – everything we were meant to be
  • Jesus – the Man for us
  • Jesus – the real Priest
  • Trusting God like Abraham: waiting for the heavenly city
  • Trusting God like Abraham: looking to one who raises the dead
  • Trusting God like Moses: Treasuring Jesus above everything
  • Trusting God like Jesus

Sermons for the series will be updated each week below.

Welcome!

Welcome. If you’re looking for a church home, would like to know more about Christianity, or are temporarily in the area, we invite you to come and visit.

At our church we aim to bea warm community of people that worship and serve God, and make Him known through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our worship is simple and uncluttered, including prayer, a mix of old and new songs, usually a kids talk and always a talk explaining the Bible. We aim for clear, practical Bible teaching which leads us to God, through Christ. We are Reformed and Evangelical.

We cherish our diversity as people, and our unity in Christ, meeting together as a whole group, young and old. We seek to look out for each other and support each other in all the problems that we face in life.

We are not perfect; we are all sinners. But because of Jesus, we are forgiven!
