Daniel : Devotion During Disarray

The South East Queensland Presbyterian Reformed Church Family Bible Camp was a time to be refreshed by studying God’s Word together for a weekend and for fellowship with Christian brethren.

Pastor Rick Zylstra from our sister congregation in Wangaratta, VIC, challenged us from the book of Daniel in a series of talks and studies delving into this well known, but sometimes not well appreciated, passage of God’s Word. The book of Daniel inspires Rick because Daniel remained thoroughly committed to the Lord, even though his life was completely turned upside down when taken into captivity. He lost his family, his home, his freedom, but he did not lose his faith, displaying wonderful devotion even during disarray. Although our circumstances today are very different from those of Daniel, we learnt from Daniel’s example of living for God in the midst of our pressure-filled lives.
