Peace on Earth

December 11, 2022 by Tim

Christmas Day Worship Service 2022

A bit over 2,000 years ago peace on earth was promised at the birth of Jesus Christ. If you turn on the news, or perhaps just sit down at the dinner table, you realise that there is some peace missing. Did something go wrong? Was God exaggerating? Or is there truth to the peace offered in Jesus Christ, who’s birth we remember at Christmas?

Join us at 9am Christmas Day as we explore this and see if there really is joy and peace to be found in the promises of God.

Church Service Online Today

February 27, 2022 by Tim

Due to the severe weather in Brisbane since Friday that has continued overnight and into today there is significant flooding occurring in many parts of the city. Per Government requests to limit travel and due to many roads being cut we have cancelled today’s gathering at the Church Hall.

We will be meeting online today.

Update: Today’s sermon is now available below or via the The Gospel of Mark series page.

The Gospel of Mark

January 30, 2022 by Tim

The Gospel of Mark

2000 years ago the solution to our greatest sickness, sin, walked the earth in what would have been the dusty streets of Israel. This solution to sin is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who took on human flesh and did things that are beyond incredible. Whether you’ve heard about the life of Jesus before or not, join us in seeing what Mark has to tell us about Him. This is a bit like a good book or movie you can never get enough of, but way better in every way!

Ministries during Coronavirus restrictions

July 17, 2021 by Tim

Under current Queensland Government restrictions, we are permitted to hold public worship services and other gatherings at the Church Hall. Currently masks are required to be worn indoors per government requirements. If gathering restrictions are required, given our hall size this generally this means regular attendees plus some visitors can be accommodated. If numbers exceed capacity we can provide additional seating outdoors under cover.

We continue to hold bible studies on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm. Please contact us for details of the weekly venue.

Prayer Meetings and Sunday School are at the Church hall on Sunday mornings at 9am before our worship service.

Some activities are still restricted and depending on restrictions applicable we have modified our practices around serving of food and drinks:

  • Morning Tea: we are able to enjoy a time of fellowship outside from 10-10:30am between the Prayer Meeting and Worship Service for morning tea. Morning tea is served rather than self-service.
  • First Sunday Lunch: When permitted we enjoy a shared lunch, however if restrictions require we will have a BYO lunch, with family groups sitting together and/or smaller groups spread in our various areas outside. This simplifies arrangements due to variable numbers and serving of food. Please contact us if you would like to join us on the first Sunday so that we can confirm what arrangements currently apply.

Should restrictions change we will modify gatherings and events accordingly. Please contact us for any current updates or check back here regularly. Thank you.
