Useful Links

This page provides some useful links for personal reading, bibles and bible aids, commentaries, sister churches, missions works and other like-minded churches.

Bibles

We believe the whole bible to be the true and faithful word of God.

We encourage everyone to read the bible – it is a book of teaching, instruction, narrative (story) and wisdom, inspired by the Holy Spirit, written down by men and preserved by God for our benefit. We use the New King James Version (NKJV) in worship, accepting this as a faithful translation from original texts and other translation works, and provided in modern language relevant to readers.

A copy of the bible can be found at:

  • Bible Gateway – http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?version=NKJV
  • Bible Gateway app – http://www.biblegateway.com/app/ is a helpful aid for people with iPad, iPhone, Android phones, and Kindle Fire devices

Westminster Confession of Faith

For a much more detailed account of what we believe the Bible teaches please read ‚ The Westminster Confession of Faith (with our minor amendments by PRC).

The Westminster Confession of Faith is a reformed confession produced in 1646 by the Westminster Assembly in London. Intended to set the doctrinal standards for the Church of England, it became a powerful force in the Church of Scotland and has influenced Presbyterian churches all over the world. Today, numerous churches and denominations worldwide, including the Presbyterian Reformed Church of Australia, look to the Westminster Confession as their standard of doctrine, subordinate to Scripture.

A chapter-by-chapter reading of Gordon Clarke’s very helpful commentary on the Westminster Confession of Faith, ‘What do Presbyterians Believe‘ is available online for listening or download here.

Welcome!

Welcome. If you’re looking for a church home, would like to know more about Christianity, or are temporarily in the area, we invite you to come and visit.

At our church we aim to bea warm community of people that worship and serve God, and make Him known through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our worship is simple and uncluttered, including prayer, a mix of old and new songs, usually a kids talk and always a talk explaining the Bible. We aim for clear, practical Bible teaching which leads us to God, through Christ. We are Reformed and Evangelical.

We cherish our diversity as people, and our unity in Christ, meeting together as a whole group, young and old. We seek to look out for each other and support each other in all the problems that we face in life.

We are not perfect; we are all sinners. But because of Jesus, we are forgiven!
