We visit a local nursing home in Albany Creek one Saturday per month, normally the second Saturday, to sing hymns and provide a witness to the residents. The visit includes usually four to six hymns, provided on a printout for the residents, introductions for the hymns and an explanation of the theme for the month. The gospel message delivered expands on the theme and explains the good news of salvation and hope Christ freely offers to all.
We finish our visit with a time of fellowship with the residents. It is great to see regular faces each month and encouraging to have people sing along with the hymns.
We generally meet at 10.15am for Prayer, starting at 10.30am.
