Kirk is married to Simone and has four active boys. He became our Pastor at Everton Park in 2017, after almost 10 years as a minister in Sydney. Kirk is passionate about what God has done for him in Christ and loves seeing others discover Jesus and grow.
Before becoming a Pastor Kirk was a primary school teacher, working on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. Kirk's family moved around in his childhood - Vanuatu, Kenya, Wollongong, Auckland - and with a Dutch father and Canadian mother, he enjoys meeting people from other places.
In his spare time Kirk loves hitting a cricket ball in the back yard with his boys or going out for a paddle on his kayak.

Deacon (Diaconate Chair)
Chris was blessed to have grown up in a Christian home in Townsville, but it was not until his late teens and early 20's that the Holy Spirit worked in his heart and he came to call Christ as Saviour.
Since that time The Lord has shown his hand several times in Chris' life in leading where he needed him. In one of these such times He lead Chris to Sydney where he meet his wife and has since been greatly blessed with two beautiful little girls. Chris and family relocated to Brisbane in 2009 and subsequently joined in worshipping in the Everton Park congregation.
Chris was called to serve as a Deacon in July 2011 and currently serves as the Diaconate Secretary.
Chris gives thanks to his gracious and merciful God and prays that He will continue to guide in this life towards His everlasting eternal kingdom.
Deacon (Diaconate Secretary)
God saved Gavin when at university in Japan in 1990. After returning to Australia, Gavin joined Everton Park Church with his wife Tomoko in 2003, and has been serving as a deacon since 2009. Gavin and Tomoko were blessed with their son in 2005.
In addition to his office as deacon at Everton Park, Gavin is keenly interested in serving God in his capacity as a businessman, and is particularly fascinated by the Trinity as well as God's covenant.
Gavin assists with our nursing home hymn singing ministry and also as a Sunday School teacher. He enjoys playing various sports with friends and family, airplanes, and discovering new places in God's creation. Gavin makes shoes for a living, and apart from his passion in serving Christ, he helps people from the feet up!
